The Last Broadcast

The Voyager satellites are the furthest travelled man-made objects and each carries with them a 'Golden Record' of human speech, natural sounds, music and images.

If humanity continues on its current course these records may be the last surviving evidence that our species ever even existed.

It is probably best to think of this track as a remix of that record.

The Last Broadcast is available now on all the usual streaming services.

The Winter Underground

The Winter Underground’ is the second single from IHF’s forthcoming album ‘The Vanishing’.

The track journeys through an icy landscape of wandering synths, scattered modular percussion, a graceful string quartet and majestic French horn to a chaotic, surging conclusion.

Perfectly underlining the sonics, the promo video IHF has created for the track blends imagined Soviet monuments with dreamlike AI hallucinations and pseudorealistic footage.

Inspired by winter English seaside towns and the stories they might tell, this epic journey from electronica artist Invictus Hi-Fi takes in sweet electronic melancholy, a driving middle section and a final dissolving landscape of sound.

The Vanishing, the full length album from which this track is taken from, will appear next year.

Following the success of his acclaimed debut album The Market Deities, British electronica artist Invictus Hi-Fi returns with a duo of soundtracks for lost and submerged histories.

First up is Doggerland Bones, which delivers a barrage of frenetic tribal beats, pulverising bass and wandering horns, strings and flutes - as sonically subversive as it’s namesake is submerged.

On the digital flip side, Romulus Road fuses vintage keys with surging, fuzzed up acoustic guitars and wandering synths to deliver a track which is both powerful and memorable. Imagine if Terry Riley, Neutral Milk Hotel and Orbital joined forces for an evening - it might sound a bit like this.

‘If the financial market had gods, what would they sound like?’

This question led the IH-F on a journey of research and discovery, drawing from sources as diverse as 1970’s technologists, ancient scholars, financial traders and documentary filmmakers - as well as sonic inspiration from the works of Neu!, Steve Reich, Eno, DJ Shadow, Jon Hassell and James Holden.

Recorded using Invictus Hi-Fi’s unique ‘Studio as Modular’ method of production ‘The Market Deities’ takes electronic music to places it has never been before.
